About
We focus on investing in niche, small business that are building our resilient futures. These businesses are overlooked by growth finance and are left out in conversations regarding how we transition to more resilient futures.

Brian Oduor
Founder & Managing Director
Brian honed his commercial instincts and investing philosophies as an investor, founder, operator, and advisor in response to ground shifts in domains of commercial and societal value. He grew up in some of the world’s largest farms – gaining exposure to climate and global financial markets early. He has since worked in the overlapping manifolds of markets, technology, and solutions-oriented science to effectively respond to changing futures.
Brian was involved in creating one of the first carbon markets in the U.S., while managing part of a $300M+ commodities and energy portfolio at Barclays Capital’s internal hedge fund. While at JPMorgan, he transacted $200B+ in M&A and capital markets deals — to digitally transform legacy companies and to finance the initial “cleantech” hype cycle. He later founded an environmental risk management platform targeting investment funds with ~$1T in AUM that have environmental exposures in their portfolios.
Brian has also worked in the public sector. He advised the offices of the Prime Minister of Kenya and Governor of the U.S. Virgin Island on the design and funding of environmental infrastructure. He built the data analytics & engineering team at New York Public Radio, US’s largest public radio organization, where he led data-led strategy to regain its public square role. He also put all this work together and created a graduate course on analytics in public policy as a professor at New York University.
Brian’s academic background bookends his competence. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics & Computer Science (summa cum laude) — with a focus on Network Theory and Machine Learning — from Connecticut College. And two Master degrees from Yale University: an MBA from the School of Management and an MA from the School of Environment. His focuses were Behavioral Economics, Finance, and Environmental Markets.
